Apple iPhone 14 Pro Raih Penghargaan Smartphone Terbaik GLOMO 2023

TRIBUNNEWS.COM - Di penghujung gelaran Mobile World Conference (MWC) diumumkan penerima Global Mobile Awards (GLOMO) 2023.

GLOMO adalah penghargaan industri yang paling bergengsi, yang dinilai oleh para pakar yang paling terkemuka di sektor ini.

Setiap tahunnya, penghargaan diberikan untuk beberapa kategori berbeda termasuk Mobile Technologies, Digital Everything, Devices, Tech4Good, dan Government Leadership.

Untuk kategori 'Best Smartphone' alias 'Smartphone Terbaik' dimenangkan oleh Apple iPhone 14 Pro.

Adapun perangkat lain yang masuk dalam kategori Best Smartphone yakni Google Pixel 7 Pro, Nothing Phone (1), Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4, dan Galaxy Z Fold4.

"Penghargaan Smartphone Terbaik menggabungkan kinerja, inovasi, dan kepemimpinan yang luar biasa sebagaimana ditentukan melalui penilaian smartphone di pasar selama periode Januari 2022 hingga Desember 2022 oleh analis independen, jurnalis, dan influencer terkemuka dunia," tulis dalam laman resminya.

Tak hanya itu, Apple juga menangkan kategori 'Disruptive Device Innovation' berkat SOS Darurat melalui Satelit.

Pesaing Apple pada kategori tersebut meliputi chip Google Tensor 2, Qualcomm Snapdragon, dan Sensor Kamera IMX989 Sony.

"Untuk inovasi perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak inti dalam perangkat smartphone itu sendiri. Dari chip dan prosesor hingga kamera, layar, dan teknologi inovatif lainnya yang memajukan pengalaman pengguna dan meningkatkan kemampuan ponsel cerdas, tersedia di pasar selama periode Januari 2022 hingga Desember 2022, sebagaimana ditentukan oleh analis independen, jurnalis, dan Influencer terkemuka dunia," tulis pada pengumuman kategori tersebut.

Dikutip dari GSMArena, saat peluncuran iPhone 14 series Apple menunjukkan bahwa satelit dapat digunakan untuk berkomunikasi dalam keadaan darurat tanpa memerlukan perangkat keras khusus.

Selanjutnya, penghargaan 'Best in Show' dikantongi oleh Motorola Defy Satellite Link made by Bullitt.

Didukung oleh MediaTek silicon, perangkat ini menggunakan Bluetooth untuk berinteraksi dengan smartphone dan dapat mengirim pesan SMS ke mana pun.

Perangkat itu bersaing dengan Honor Magic VS, Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, dan Oppo Find N2 Flip pada kategori tersebut.
