Galang: Mom, what’s the name of this river?

Mom: It’s Sungai Lestari. 

Dad: When I ___was___ your age, I often __went__ down to this river.

Galang: But, it does not look very clean. Was the river this dirty back then? Did you swim in the river?

Dad: I did! The river ___was___ quite clean back then. 

Galang: Were there others that went to the river?

Galang: How did it become so dirty like this? Did people throw their trash into this river?

Mom: Well, that is one of the causes. People also ___started___ to use a lot of plastic.  And plastic does not decay easily.

Dad: Plastic trash __started__ to litter a lot of places. It __made__ this river dirty.

Mom: The plastic trash also ___caused___ many other problems, like the lood in a nearby town a couple of days ago.
