Perilisan lagu 'Now and Then' ini sempat tertunda selama 45 tahun.

Dikutip dari BBC, bar pertama pada lagu ini ditulis oleh John Lennon pada tahun 1978 sebelum ia meninggal.

Setelah kematian John Lennon, Yoko Ono memberikan rekaman tersebut kepada anggota Beatles yang tersisa dalam bentuk kaset.

Kemudian pada Paul McCartney, George Harrison, dan Ringo Starr menyelesaikan lagu 'Now and Then'.

Secara bersamaan, lagu 'Now and Then' resmi dirilis di layanan streaming seperti Spotify, Apple Music, dan Amazon Prime Music.
