The event that started the plot of the story is when Malin Kundang was sailing, he saw a merchant’s ship being raided by a band of pirates. With his bravery, Malin Kundang helped the merchant to defeat the pirates.

4.What happened next?

Jawaban:

After the heroic effort by Malin Kundang helping the merchant, the merchant allowed Malin Kundang to sail with him. Malin Kundang agreed in the hope to get a better life. He left his mother alone.

Jawaban:

The problem in the story gets more complicated since Malin Kundang take sail to his hometown and reject the fact that the old lady was his mother.

Jawaban:

The climax of this story is when Malin Kundang reject to approve the old lady as his mother and by anger, his mother curse him and turn Malin Kundang into stone.

In the story, Malin Kundang resolve himself as he ask for forgiveness from his mother but it is too late and Malin Kundang turned into stone.
